At Geysir Hestar you have found your Icelandic home. With a special love for tasteful interior and comfortable living, we can offer you a unforgettable stay with us - our main guesthouse and private cabins embody the spirit of Icelandic nature.
Krummi
The main guesthouse Krummi offers private rooms for two or four. Our guests will be provided with cosy made-up beds, soft towels and a delightful view over erupting geyser Strokkur.
Krummi consists of:
• private lockable rooms (for 2 or 4 persons),
• public living room,
• small kitchenette with complimentary tea and coffee,
• shared separate bathrooms and showers.

Private cottages
For families and groups a good option is our cosy little private cottages. We provide our guests with made-up beds, towels and a small but fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for a meal preparation.
One cottage consists of:
• a living room with sofa,
• dining area,
• equipped kitchenette with tea and coffee,
• small bathroom with a shower,
• 2-bed bedroom,
• loft with 2 beds.
Minimum length of stay: 2 nights
Comfortable amount of guests: 4
Upon request, we can accommodate 2 extra mattresses on the floor in the loft, which extends to 6 guests maximum.

Activities in the area
Staying at our accommodation by no means is the only thing you can do here.
Along with riding tours here at the farm, there are many other activities and attractions to see close-by.

Geysir
One of the most famous spot on Iceland is not only 4 km away from us but even seen from our windows. Geysir hot-spring area by itself is an experience... and next to it are also several places to eat and a souvenir store.
Gullfoss
If you come to Iceland, you have to see the Golden Falls - the one and only Gullfoss waterfall. 5 minute drive and you're there! Gullfoss Cafe will provide you with lunch, warm tea and souvenirs to bring home.
We can also arrange a horseback ride there.
Golfing at Geysir
If you are into calmer activity, Geysir Golf course is for you. It's just few minutes of car drive away from us un you will always have the Geysir hotspring area on sight. See more here geysirgolf.is
Haukadalur forest
Fancy a walk in the woods? Haukadal Forest is the largest national forest in south Iceland. Following the well-marked trails, you can not only see the woods, small streams and a little hotpot where to dip you feet in, but also Haukadalur Church.
We explore the forest from a horseback as well!
Fluðir
The closest village Fluðir is offering a lot of things to do. 20 minutes by car takes you to:
• natural hotspring pool Secret Lagoon. It is the oldest (and probably the nicest!) swimming pool in Iceland. For more info, visit their website secretlagoon.is;
• closest grocery store Samkaup Strax;
• several lunch places;
• golf course at Kaffi Sel, where you can also get nice pizza afterwards.
Faxi waterfall
If you are on your way to Fluðir, why not stop on the way and see less crowded but equally as beautiful waterfall on the way? Around 12 km from Geysir you will find the waterfall, great place for picnic and a small restaurant Vid Faxa.
